Abstract

This study was aimed at analyzing the effect of product design and promotion on sales volume in the batik industry in Sragen. This study is expected to provide a material consideration in the determination of product design and promotion policies that can improve the company’s sales volume. This study took 50 companies in Sragen batik as the study sample. This study testedthree hypotheses. The first hypothesis says that the design of the products significantly influence sales volume, is supported. This study also supports the second hypothesis which says that the promotion of a significant effect on sales volume. The third hypothesis is that the design of the product and promotion are jointly significant effect on the volume of sales is also supported.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is  arrange a strategy model for developing micro and small enterprises owned by the student on the Colleges strategic role-based. Research conducted in the selected region: Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Klaten and Boyolali Regency. The data used is primary and  secondary data. Primary  data  is  obtained  using  the  techniques of observation,  focus group discussion (FGD) and in-depth interview on micro and small entrepreneur’s students in the area of  research, the secondary data is obtained  from various publication sources. Analytical method used is descriptive-analytic approach. This result  showed  that: (1) micro and small enterprises owned by  student face various problems especially capital aspect, enterprises  management and  entrepreneurship skills; (2) the problems that have been identified is used a basis of arrangement a SWOT analysis from formulating a grand strategy and model development of micro and small enterprises (Figure  4.3);  (3) The  strategic  role  of  the  Colleges  in  developing  micro  and  small enterprise:  (a)  formulating  strategic for the developing  of  small and micro enterprises through: (i) the teaching of entrepreneurship and enterprises management soft skills-based and (ii) conducting education and training an intensive, systematic and integrated about enterprises management and entrepreneurship science and technology-based; (b) colleges synergize  with  Banks  and  HPMI  for  purposes  related  to  the  evaluation  of  the feasibility business  plan,  flanking  business  and  business  consultant for entrepreneurs students; (c) providing  ease  of  access to capital for  entrepreneurs  students his business plan is considered feasible by a team of assessment.

Abstract

Povertyis a classic problemthat has been happening in Indonesia.National Community Empowerment Program(PNPM) is one of thegovernmentprogramsundertakenin an effort tocontrolit.The purposeof this studywas to determine therole ofhuman resource managementin the success ofthe NationalProgramfor Community Empowerment  (PNPM) in the village of Krakitan,Bayat, Klaten. This research is aqualitative descriptive research type (explanatory), while thesampletaken by purposive sampling the sampleintentionally predetermined based on the considerationin accordancewith the intentandpurpose of the studycomprised of stakeholders who knowthe problem sand conditions Krakitan village, Bayat, Klaten.The data was collectedby observation, Interview Guide or key person, where asthe method usedis AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The results ofthe analysis found thatamong manajemnroleof human resourcesisthe most power ful planning (planning) with the eigen vector for 0444 means that44% of the program’ssuccess PNPM Rural Krakitan village, Bayat, Klaten played by planning.

Abstract

In the recent time, earning management is still in the controversial area, earning management practice viewed based on two different perspectives, first perspectives believed that it was a mal practices (negatives), however, the other perspectives tend to said it should did by management (positives). The aim of this study is to analyze the differentiation of the earning management practices on the company listed in Jakarta Islamic Index based on long and short termdiscretionary accrual approach. The result based on Wilcoxon signed rank test shown there is asignificant differentiation between long and short term discretionary accrual. Thus, in the earning management practices that found in the company listed on JII since 2004 – 2010, managementtend to increased earning on the long term discretionary accrual model (average 0,1868196) rather than short term discretionary accrual model (average -0,5880015).

Abstract

At the present time, industrial business are facing the situation of increasingly intense competition, the emergence of competition beetween brand of the old with the emergence of new brand at the same products. Therefor, a better understanding of consumer behavior is needed to maintain by the company.This resaerch aim to find out of the influence of positioning, differentiation and brand equity to the consumer decision order to purchase energy drink of kuku bima ener – g. Using  the purposive sampling technique 100 respondents were obtained and become the sampel for this research. Data was analyze by using quantative  analyze which focused on multiple regresion.The result show, all variabel of independent has a direct corelation with the dependent variabel. Coeficient of determination show in the adjusted squre 85.9%  which mean that is influence purchasing decision can be explained by three independent variabel in this research. And remaining 14,1%  can be explained by other variables outside the model of the research.

Abstract

The objectives of the study are: to analyze the level of preparedness of the stakeholdersin the adaptation and mitigation of floods in Surakarta, and to develop strategies to strengthen thecapacity of adaptation and mitigation of floods in Surakarta. Mixed-method of quantitative andqualitative has been employed to develop the strategy posed. The competent 15 keypersons wereselected using purposive quoted sampling for interview. Descriptive statistics and AHP wereemployed to analize the data. The results showed that that the stakeholders do not yet optimal inmitigation and adaptation to flooding. Capacity building strategy can be done through (a)developa strategic plan for overcoming Flood, (b) education, training and socialization of the adaptation and mitigation of flooding, (c) development and improvement of the physical aspects, (d)publicparticipation in flood mitigation, (e) planning and provision of logistics, funding, and equipment,(f) preparation of SOP flooding, and (g) encourage the protection of assets through insurance.

The samples in this study were students of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, amounting to 100 respondents . Sampling technique in this study was the purposive sampling and convenience sampling. Data analysis method used is normality test and test multiple linear regression analysis with t test, F test, and the coefficient of determination (R). In this study meets the data for normal distribution. Hypothesis test showed that the quality of products and variety seeking has significant influence with t respectively 6.869 and 3.846, while no ads variables have a significant effect evidenced by the t value of -0.970. In the F test showed that together thevariable quality of the product, advertising, and variety seeking significant effect on brand switching.
